Thanks in part to Stowe Emergency Medical Services, the pain of a broken bone or a sprained ankle can now be managed more effectively by several emergency agencies throughout the state. Stowe was the first emergency services department in the state of Vermont to take advantage of protocol changes that allow advanced emergency medical technicians to administer nitrous oxide.

Stowe EMS is well supported by the community; furthermore, we are very fortunate to have the support from Stowe Rescue Squad, Inc. With this support, initiatives can be undertaken that otherwise might be delayed. Stowe EMS partners with Stowe Rescue to continue improving patient care, and provide community outreach and support. Goal-oriented change is rarely about being first; most often its about trying to simply improve.
